United Methodist Men/Women

UNITED METHODIST MEN (UMM) – Cecil Huss, Chairperson
The purpose of the United Methodist Men is: “Helping men to grow in Christ so others can know Christ.”

It’s no secret.  Almost twice as many women as men belong to United Methodist Churches, and the absence of men affects the spiritual health of families, congregations and communities. At Mount Olivet UMC our United Methodist Men strive to support our mission and that of the United Methodist Church by organizing activities that bring the men together in service and fellowship.

UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
The purpose of the United Methodist Women is: “The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.”

United Methodist Women is an organization of approximately one million members whose purpose is to foster spiritual growth, develop leaders and advocate for justice.  Members raise nearly $25 million each year for programs and projects related to women, children and youth in the United States and in more than 100 countries around the world.  The Women’s Division is the national policy-making body of this group.
